Aluga

(Ah-lou-GA, A-LUGA)

The aluga takes its name from the Hebrew word that is synonymous with vampirism and translates to mean "leach." This vampiric creature that originates from Mediterranean lore is considered by some sources to be nothing more than a blood-drinking demon, while others claim it to be the demonic king of vampires. Ahandful of references say that it is nothing more than a flesh-eating GHOUL.

The aluga is mentioned in the Bible, Proverbs 30:15: "The horse leech hath two daughters, crying Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: (16) The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough."
